Surfing Jalisco Mexico
The 3rd Copa Corona Peñitas 2010 tournament (Torneo Copa Peñitas 2010) has been announced by the organizing committee of the State of Jalisco, Mexico, Surfing Association.
Applications are open to surfers of all ages and nationalities for this surfing event that will take place on July 3rd and 4th, 2010, at Playa Peñitas, Tomatlan, Jalisco (south of Puerto Vallarta, north of Barra de Navidad, on the Pacific Coast of Mexico).
For the Open Board category, purses ranges from $500 pesos for 5th place to $15,000 pesos for first place. Sign-up cost is $300 pesos.
For the Junior Board category, open to surfers under 16 years of age of any nationality, prizes are yet to be announced. Sign-up cost is $200 pesos.
The tournament will be conducted and judged according to the regulations of the Mexican Surfing Federation (Federacion Mexicana de Surfing), under the auspices of the ISA.
