The 5th Annual Revolcadero Historico surfing contest and festival took place this past weekend on Revolcadero Beach in Acapulco, Guerrero Mexico, featuring youngsters from the states of Colima, Michoacán, the Federal District, Oaxaca and Guerrero, and the results are in:
Children 6 to 8 years: 1.-Julio Cesar Molina (aca) 2.- Jaciel García (aca) 3.- Rony Hernández (aca) 4.- Isaías Basabe (aca)
The Revelation Prize of the tournament was awarded to Ricardo Vargas (aca) in the 6 to 8 year category.
Children 9 to 11 years: Daniel Zamora (aca) 2.- Esteban Yáñez (Distrito fed) 3.- Fernando Olea (aca)
12 to 14 years: 1.- Luis Rey Hernández (aca) 2.- Yoni Corzo (Oax) 3.- Edgar Camarena (colima) 4.- Victor Alarcón (colima)
15 to 17 years: 1.- Luis Rey (Aca) 2.- José Juárez (col) 3.- José Silva (aca) 4.- Fernando Olea (aca)
Girls Open: 1.- Kristal Hernández (zihua) 2.- Yone Pereiro (aca) 3.- Adriana Paz (aca) 4.- Jazmín Villalobos (aca)
Fourteen surfboards were awarded the winners as well as prizes from the sponsors. There was music on the beach, a girl’s bikini contest, graffiti artists painted a surf-ecology mural and more than one thousand sea turtles were released from the Playa Hermosa sea turtle sanctuary.
