An invitation is out by the Assembly of Revolcadero Beach Surfers, the Mexican Federation of Surfing, the Surfing Association of the State of Guerrero, the Mexican Ministry of Tourism, Playa Hermosa Turtle Camp and private initiative, calling all children, young people under 18, and women for the women´s open category, whether of Mexican or any other nationality, to the
5th Annual Revolcadero Historico 2011 Surf Tournament
DATE AND PLACE:
Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico, at Playa Revolcadero next to the Hotel Fairmont Pierre Marquez, starting each day at 7:00 a.m.
PARTICIPANTS:
Open to all boys and girls in the short board category, and young people under 18 years in male and female categories, and women, without age limit, in the women´s open short board category.
REGISTRATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
The registration fee for categories “A” and “B” (6 to 8 years and 9 to 11 years) is $50.00 (fifty pesos) per competitor and category. (These competitors may be assisted by an adult in the water.)
Boy´s and girl´s sub 18 categories (12 to 17 years) registration fee is $100.00 (one hundred pesos) per competitor and category.
Fee for the open women´s short board category is $100.00 (one hundred pesos).

Final registration deadline is Friday October 21, 2011 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Burger King Diamante on Boulevard de las Naciones, in front of the gas station, where parent and guardian releases must be signed upon presentation of a copy of the participant´s birth certificate.
CATEGORIES:
Children’s short board “A”, 6 years to 8 years
Children’s short board “B”, 9 to 11 years
Short board 12 years to 14 years
Teens short board 15 years to 17 years
Women´s open short board, all ages
JUDGES:
Shall be appointed by the organizing committee and its decisions are final.
REGULATIONS:
The competition will be governed by the rules of the Mexican Federation of Surfing, AC and the International Surfing Association (ISA)
Each competitor must:
1 .- Maintain a sports-minded and respectful attitude toward the competitors, organizers and the general public.
2 .- Project fairness and fellowship during the competition.
3 .- Be cordial to the media, officials, staff and sponsors.
4 .- Comply with the regulations of the Mexican Federation of Surfing, AC, any violation of which will be grounds for immediate suspension from competition.
AWARDS:
The first four places in each category will receive trophies, diplomas and gifts from sponsors; a surfboard will go to first place.

Revolcadero Beach:
Located at Punta Diamante, on the hill known as “Coyote Point.”
Acapulco has a warm and humid climate. Revolcadero beach is south of the city, with a sandy bottom and peaky surf, with lefts and rights, favorable for radical and progressive maneuvers. Water temperature is warm.
