Surfing
Surfing, after a long history as a fringe sport, has finally come into it's own in the past few years, gaining a wide-spread respect and popularity. Mexico's own surf team has placed well in international surfing competitions during the past several years.Mainland Mexico and the Baja peninsula offer the surfer a number of incredible surf breaks for all levels of surfing expertise. Mexico's surf camps and resorts range from the low-budget, basic, beachside bungalow to ultra-comfortable, all-inclusive beach resorts, and as for supplies, there are now numerous surf shops, surfboard repair facilities and equipment rental and sale outlets near almost all of Mexico's major surf spots.
In addition, new services such as combination Spanish and surfing classes or all-inclusive surf instructional camps are becoming more easily available as the sport gains popularity and acceptance in the general sporting world.
