Mexico''''s major airlines are Aeromexico and Mexicana, although there are a number of other, smaller carriers servicing prime Mexican tourist and business destinations, and several budget airlines that have just sprung up in recent years.
Although Mexico has nearly 50 airports with international classification, many of these airports are serviced only by national flights, which also fly in and out of the 11 or 12-odd additional airports of national classification.
The major Mexican airports handling international flights include those in Mexico City, Monterrey, Los Cabos, Mazatlan, Guadalajara, Cancun, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Leon, Huatulco and Ixtapa Zihuatanejo.
