Campeche
The state of Campeche is located in the south-eastern region of Mexico on the Yucatan peninsula. It is bordered to the west and south-west by the state of Tabasco, to the north by the Gulf of Campeche (part of the Gulf of Mexico) and the state of Yucatan, to the east by the state of Quintana Roo, and to the south by the neighboring Central American country of Guatemala.
Campeche's main destinations are the City of Campeche, Ciudad del Carmen, Champoton and Escarcega.

Xpuhil Archaeological Site
Xpuhil is a fairly small ruin, with only two restored structures in the main precinct. But the main building is a lovely example of the Rio Bec style of Maya architecture
