This is one hell of a river mouth break with long left tubes that can last a half a football field when the break lines up just right. The beach is steep with a powerful undertow and inside whitewater action called the "liquadora" or blender which is an apt analogy if you get caught up in it.
The point is located near the town of Caleta de Campos on the Michoacan coast. Caleta offers a few hotels and rentals, the Surf and Suds surf shop/laundry, internet access and a number of small stores for most of the essentials. A Pemex gas station has also recently been built just outside of town and another one is going in.
At the rivermouth there are 3 or 4 restaurant/bars, a small miscelanea store, and a couple dozen beach shacks and bungalows (some with bathrooms, others without, many with electricity) are available for rent on the beach, as well a comfortable accommodations with indoor plumbing on the river.
