Given the remoteness of many of the lodging facilities in the Copper Canyon, the majority of the hotels provide plans that include meals, and sometimes there is little choice but to eat what's there in the dining room.
In certain towns, if you're in an adventurous mood, local fare can be had at stalls and food vendors at the train stations, and in small "restaurants" that are often no more than the porch or living area of a private home in some of the settlements.
